*There will be some days where guided tours at not available due to staff availability. If you know what day/time you plan to come to the park and would like to request a guided tour, call ahead and we can possibly make special arrangements. Self Guided Tours of the park are still offered everyday during our open hours (10a-5p). We recommend allotting at least 30 minutes of your time to look around the park.

What can I do when I visit End-O-Line Park?
When you arrive, we ask that you first stop at the Visitors’ Center to check-in with park staff so they can show you where to go and what is open. The Visitors’ Center also contains our gift shop containing over 300 different sale items including books, custom t-shirts, candy, cold drinks, Schwan’s ice cream, home décor, and railroad themed toys.
Our Park contains ten viewable buildings and rolling stock railroad artifacts.
– 1940s Grand Trunk Western Caboose
– Replica Enginehouse containing over 300 railroad artifacts, including an 1875 narrow-gauge Baldwin Steam Engine.
– The original 1900 built Currie Depot which includes an authentic HO scale model train display built in 1975.
– Section’s Foreman’s house from Comfrey, MN built in 1899
– Restored general store built in 1872 [Temporarily Closed]
– Replica wheat grist mill [Temporarily Closed]
– Rural country school house built around 1890
– Presbyterian church built in 1873 (that still holds services every Sunday in the warmer months)
– Replica of the first courthouse in the county.
– 1940s Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway caboose
– Miniature Depot built in the 1970s using parts from formerly built train depot
You have two options to tour the park: Guided Tours and Self Guided Tours.
Self Guided Tours admission provides you access to all park buildings, exhibits, and rolling stock artifacts to tour on your own pace. A free guide book with a park map and history of the park’s buildings/exhibits is available in the Visitors’ Center.
Guided Tours admission provides special tour by one of our qualified Museum Assistants. Tours last approximately 45-60 minutes and include a guided experience through a caboose, Enginehouse, Currie Depot, and Section Foreman’s House. The tour also includes a spin on the the historic railroad manual Turntable and a demonstration of our HO model trail display.

Guided tours are dependent on staff/volunteer availability. If you know a specific day/time that you plan to visit the park and want to ensure that the guided tours is available, please call ahead of time. Guided tour admission fees include access to the self guide tour buildings.

Our park also has a train themed playground for young children, outside picnic tables, public restrooms open 24 hours between May and October, and lots of grassy space to play and relax.
How do I get to your park?

The park is located on the northern edge of the town of Currie just over the Des Moines River on County Highway 38; just off of State Hwy 30. As the crow flies, we are 11 miles northeast of Slayton, 18 miles south of Tracy, 42 miles south of Marshall, 50 miles north of Worthington, 101 miles northeast of Sioux Falls, SD, 133 miles west of Mankato, MN, and 215 miles southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Parking is free in our parking lot located at the western side of the park. There is also a separate overflow area for RV, trailer, or large vehicle parking. Bike rack parking is also available at the park. The park is only a couple mile bike ride from Lake Shetek State Park via the Casey Jones State Trail. Bike riders are more than welcome to use the End O Line Park parking lot as an unloading area to use the bike trail. Learn more at: https://www.caseyjonestrail.org/.

Can I visit the park outside of the posted hours?
Outside of the posted park hours, all the historic buildings and structures in the park are closed. However, End-O-Line Park is one of nine parks in Murray County and the public is welcome to visit the park grounds seven days week during daylight hours. You can walk on the side walks around the park, play on the playground, sit down on our outdoor picnic tables, etc. You are also welcome to use the park’s parking lot as an unloading site for users of the Casey Jones State Trail. Please note that during the winter months, there is no snow removal.

Other Relevant Information
Pets are welcome on park grounds but must be on a leash and kept under control at all times. Pets (except for official service animals) are not allowed in buildings and owners must pick up after their pets.
Other than the cabooses and the second floor of the Section’s Foreman’s house, the park is entirely wheelchair accessible.
Smoking and e-cigarettes are not allowed in buildings, restrooms, or on park grounds. Food and beverages are not allowed in the buildings/structures except in the visitor’s center. Picnics are allowed outside in the grassy areas. If you have food but would like to visit the buildings first, you can leave your food with staff in the visitor’s center temporarily.
